Meet Andre, it’s been nearly three years since Andre joined our thriving team. Since he started the company in November 2020 as a laser programmer, he has seen the company grow.
When Andre began at Bradford Laser Cutting, the offices were based in porta-kabins, Andre is now in situ in our new offices (with heating always a bonus) and has seen the workshop space double.
Andre has been in the steel industry for over 10 years. He began his trade in a fabrication shop as a labourer and from here he worked his way up to running the shot blast/spray room to then running the plasma machines.
All this has contributed to Andre’s move to a programmer and cad work, giving him the well rounded knowledge of the industry. He knows from first hand experience how much work goes in to the parts we produce here at Bradford Laser Cutting.
Andre’s role involves taking the orders, processing them for cutting and overseeing these through to completion, along with many other talents such as estimating and sales along with providing the staff with his hidden stash of tea bag when; we run out!
Fun facts about Andre –
Number 1 he actually a became a pro Bmxer and travelled all over the world riding his bike.
Number 2 – he is a dad to one daughter who is 5 years old and is introducing her to his love of biking.
Number 3 – Andre is an avid fan of mixed martial arts which is mixture of combat sports, which involves combing Muay thai, wrestling, Jiu Jistu and other styles of fighting. “It keeps you fit that’s for sure” he has trained for around 8 years.
